The History of Ada

Ada was an ordinary girl, she had ordinary thoughts, she was going to an ordinary school, her friends were common ...
She was sixteen and a happy life, maybe a common life, but happy.
There was just something that somehow interfered with such normality: his love for music.

At nights, Ada locked herself in her room with the essentials: a blank paper, a pen and her piano. She was really grateful for having this, it made her evading from the world, hearing and thinking.
One of those nights, Ada had too many things on his mind and could not relax and write. That same morning she had seen in the way to school some guys insulting Siham, a Moroccan girl in his class of music (without many friends, she always sat alone).
The boys put the mobile of Bruno, the leader of the group, in the girl's purse, and later accused her of stealing it.
Ada saw it all! But when Bruno said Siham had stolen his mobile phone, she said nothing. "Anyway she is not my friend,'' she thought. She was in love with Bruno since the second course and did not want to put him in trouble.
But she did it deliberately! She saw perfectly Bruno putting his phone in the bag of Siham!

She was really ashamed of herself. How could she have let Siham being blamed for all this?
"As I feel I do not care. Siham has been expelled three days and I could have avoided it"She said.
Ada picked up the paper (still blank) and went to sleep instead of thinking about all that disturbed her.

That night, perhaps because of all that had happened in the morning, she had a very strange dream. He dreamed that she went into one of his music scores and notes came to life. But she could not finish the song! The notes on the scored wanted to join!

- Me? Do you mean to put that white goes next to me? Ada No way. Get away from here!, said an F with an authoritative tone.
- But .. but if you go there! If I change you I will have to re-write the whole song again! Ada said
- Bah, I see you don't know how to compose, if you knew you would put the cork with the eighth, whites with whites and silences aside, as it should be, it replied.

And just at the time that all the notes began shouting, pushing and throwing G keys, Ada awoke.

Apparently, that dream opened her eyes big enough. Siham did not deserve that and she had to do all at her hand so that Siham was readmitted.
Ada had a quick breakfast, got dressed and went to school. She went straight to the principal's office, closed the door and started telling what he saw the day before.
The director did not know whom to believe, as he called Bruno and his friends and no one confessed. So he decided to readmit Siham but he did not punish Bruno.
From that day, Ada sat by Siham in music class and ended up hating Bruno for having no scruples and for being such an intolerant boy.
He created a group in high school based on multiculturalism. They made small meetings in the evenings where everybody was allowed, and in this way they got to know other cultures and ways of seeing life.

And so it was that Ada realized how important every person is, regardless of his origin or religion.

It seems that in the end we are all like notes, notes that make up a large score. We are different, but essential to the music sound.

IDOM OF THE SENSES

Summer is quickly approaching and Alexandra had not yet a destination for this vacation. Every year in summer escape to disconnect from work and routine, but he had fulfilled his dream of traveling to the U.S., Brazil and Japan, only now he had to choose a random destination. Alejandra was 27 and lived in Malaga. He was an outgoing girl, curious, intelligent, sometimes too talkative. He had always been very interested in traveling and meeting other cultures, so he found work as independent and did not hesitate a moment to do what he always wanted. This year do something different, different, more daring and risky. It could take the backpack and travel around Spain without knowing where to sleep or eat, or better yet, look for a lost place in the world, which had never heard and knew nobody there. Yes, definitely that would be his destination, a hidden paradise in which only a few tribes live in harmony with nature. He had seen too much pollution and crowds in their previous visits, now seeking peace, tranquility and an experience that could never forget and that not many can boast of having lived.

The next day he went to the closest agency to begin organizing his big trip, as not much time left. It was not easy to find an offer that met all the requirements, but finally settled on a pack of three weeks in Indonesia at a hotel in a little village with a pretty difficult name to pronounce, very close to one of the great forests of the country . Now just wait until he had arrived the day of shipment and prepare what is necessary to get everything done. It would have to carry much sportswear, as walking through a forest would not be very comfortable high heels I used to use, and mosquito, he would not return riddled with bites.

Finally came the big day, were twelve at night and the plane was leaving at four in the morning, I had to be at the airport at about three o'clock. Alexandra was very nervous, I knew nothing about the fate that awaited her, or even what language they speak at the hotel. There he lay, however had not slept, he took a cup of tea with toast and waited on the couch, reading a book, to reach the two to catch a taxi and leave.

He had touched the window, luckily, and twenty-hour flight lay ahead until you reach the other side of the world. Were endless, but finally set foot in Indonesia. A taxi was waiting for transport to the hotel, but did not understand what he said the driver. It took more than two hours until they reached the village where the hotel stood. The people looked very poor, dirty and torn clothes and worn shoes. The hotel, if you could call it, left much to be desired, it was a fairly small house with a dirt floor and two or three rooms full of beds, which made him suppose that would have to sleep in the company of strangers . They had already warned of the poor quality of these sites compared to the hotels of Spain, but expected something better. She dropped her things in one bed that was next to the window, as I had to share a room, at least choose the most comfortable bed. In Spain would be almost four or five in the morning but the sun was shining and there would be midnight. In the afternoon he would go to rent a car to move around, now going to rest and find a place to eat.
Never get used to those foods, all in Spain are considered vermin, there are the most exquisite delicacy. It was three o'clock in the afternoon and after lunch, rented an SUV rather normalito for cars that were passing. Looking at the map, made it to the edge of town with the forest. The hotel had provided a map of the jungle tribes that lived in it and the main roads, it was easy to get lost in a place like that. He had been warned that the Indonesian tribes did not look good face to outsiders, but she was willing to know their cultures and integrate into any of them. It was introduced by a trail of tiny size and completely surrounded by trees, it was claustrophobic walk inside the jungle, but it was something spectacular.

After an hour and a half battling with leaves and branches, the foliage of the forest gave way to a wide plain full of small houses. He had reached the first of the tribes did not know how to act or what to say, they do not understand the language, it would be best expressed by signs. One of the inhabitants, judging from their appearance one of the leaders seemed, approached with extreme caution Alejandra. When I was already in front of her, began to speak in an unknown language and shaking hands as if he were angry. Alejandra was afraid at first, but then thought that perhaps it was the speech that were there, so I decided to try to get along with. As he could, he explained that he had traveled far to find his tribe and their customs and did not intend to cause any harm. It seems that the man understood and told him to come over to the other while he explained his people's intentions Alejandra. At first all seemed very scared, but after five minutes they began to ask questions that she did not understand and their interest in their clothes and appearance. Had hit.

The name of the tribe was Dani, the men were dressed in pumpkin as a loincloth, women in skirts and many beads and all went barefoot, while Alexandra had mountain boots and his feet were shattered. The houses were like mud, but seemed rather small on the outside, inside they were very large, clear that the only thing that was inside was a mat that served as beds. Outside there was a fire in the center and the animals: chickens, dogs, pigs, ran freely through the village. The mosquitoes were unbearable and the bugs were tearing touching your face. The people were very friendly and everyone offered food and drink, though perhaps he would prefer not offer him anything like that. The meal of the day larvae were cooked in a fire and drink a kind of extra coffee tasted bitter ray, but would not be reckless and graciously accepted all that was offered.

In general, a tribe was very curious and willing to make friends with them, but I call special attention to a young boy who did not speak to him all afternoon. He was a tall, thin, strong and with big eyes, but had not had the opportunity to perform, since he stayed away all the time. It was getting dark and had to return to the hotel, the rain could be very dangerous at night, so again the next day and try to talk to the boy.

It was a terrible night. Most had not slept, his roommate snored like trucks and mosquitoes were baited with it. This trip had just begun and already he was making it harder than anyone. Early in the morning back to his friends of the tribe and the first thing he did was look for the boy. I was working the garden and did a very professional manner. Alejandra came and spoke, of course he did not understand a word. Still, after a while they communicated perfectly and went from being unknown to be without any problem through gestures and glances. Alejandra not need to speak the same language as the tribe, he had already learned to communicate through the language of the senses. That boy, named Fadi, was special. Of all the tribe, seemed more aware of the reality that existed outside their land and more interested in discovering it. It knew the forest like the palm of your hand and promised to teach Alejandra every corner of their land. He moved with great skill, despite the difficulty of walking through the jungle, and it was a great hunter.

Had passed away ten days and Alejandra was spending every day with his friends in the tribe. And dressed as Dani and had learned to walk through the forest faster. That was part of the plan he had set for her trip, but it was not meeting the other day: walking in search of new tribes and new sensations. There was something that made him return with Dani every day, an indestructible force against which he could not fight a feeling of uncontrollable need. Alexandra did not want to admit it, but maybe she was starting to feel much about this boy named Fadi. What else it could be the force that pushed her to return, if practically spent the whole day with him and did too much attention to others? But I could not let this happen, it was madness. How could fall for someone I do not even understand what I say? It was totally absurd, she lived at the other end of the world in one city, and he was an Indonesian who only knew the customs of the tribe in which he lived. They were from totally different worlds, but still, they seemed to feel the same and did not need words to pass it, one look was enough to know what was hiding in their hearts.

Everything was clear, Alexandra was deeply in love with Fadi and Fadi it. It was something inexplicable, but real. He only had three days to return to Spain. He had already raised the possibility of staying there with Dani, but dismissed the idea. He could not stay trapped in a world where women have the same value as a pig. I could never get used to their customs so strange to her; to your meals bland and scanty, had only been three weeks and missed the tortilla de patatas, steaks in sauce and stew of lentils; to their garments, which were so uncomfortable and bulky. Staying there would be like living in a hell in which they could not survive. Alejandra was accustomed to large cities, to live surrounded by people, have fun, to be more than the cook in your family. I could not resign himself to the life of Dani women, although separated from Fadi break his heart. As he could, he explained that he could not stay with him, but still loved him and a lot, and invited him to return with her, but as expected, he could not leave her tribe. It was left alone to enjoy their last days together.

Everything was ready, but the plane was leaving at four in the afternoon, before it was time to say goodbye to his tribe. They were all very saddened by his departure, in a short time had caught a lot of love to Alejandra, but she would miss. It dismissed one by one, and in particular, Fadi. He left his address to write him letters, but would have to take a translator to understand them, but that did not matter. They wept and hugged each other endlessly, but when the march neared and friends had to leave leaving half of his soul with him. It would not be easy to fill the deep hole they now felt in his heart and, of course, could never forget him. It was the most intense experience and unlike any he had lived and, of course, the journey more exciting and spectacular of all he had done.

After spending almost all day on the plane, went to Spain. Malaga seemed so small compared with the island. Everything was now so strange, so new, so comfortable. The crowded streets, big buildings, home, bed, food, everything seemed new to her after three weeks lost in the jungle. In fact he had many things at home that they were unnecessary, had learned to live with the minimum and appreciate things, and many who had were completely dispensable. The next day I had to return to work, hospital, and Alexandra was not ready. Was away, his head on the other side of the world. He did not have to put up and move on, it would be hard at first, but soon the routine would seize it.

One and a half had passed and the first letter of Fadi arrived. Alejandra tachycardias felt seeing her and rushed to read, forgetting that understand nothing. He had already contacted a language translator and as soon as it received the letter sent by fax. He waited anxiously and at last came the translation. Fadi told him they were all very well, that was missed and had posted pictures of her in almost every hut. He also said he had not stopped thinking about her for a moment, that every night praying to the gods that they may one day be together and that despite the distance, I always wanted. Two tears fell from his eyes as you read these words and began to write a letter for him. Each day that passed, she felt more love and also kept the hope that one day they could be together. So the months passed and the two continued to write letters in which the heart is opened to each other.

Something strange happened. Always got a letter every twenty days, twenty-five at most, but they had been almost two months and had not heard from Fadi. She continued to write and ask him why he did not answer, but it was useless, after four months still did not know anything about him despite the dozens of letters she had sent. Maybe I did not feel the same for her and she was tired of maintaining long-distance relationship. I write some more letters, but if not answered within six months, would assume what is feared.

It took six and a half months and, indeed, Fadi had no signs of life. Alejandra was completely destroyed. How could they be false all the words he had read in his letters, how he could forget so soon, how he had so little value to come forward and tell the truth, I could not believe what was happening.

It was Saturday afternoon and his friends had asked her out, but had no body to parties. He preferred staying at home watching a movie and spending his sadness alone. I did not want to contaminate the rest of the world with their problems. Suddenly, rang the bell. With extreme vagueza prepared to open the door, just hoped it was a salesman of encyclopedias pans or not they leave you alone all afternoon until they buy something. Such was her surprise when opening the door, which almost felt faint. After the threshold was Fadi, dressed in an elegant suit, who would say that it was himself that she met in the tribe. Alejandra was launched against him so hard that I almost fell rolling down the stairs. I could not believe what his eyes were seeing, could not be true that he was there, I was living a dream. I could never have imagined a better plan for Saturday afternoon. This had become, without doubt, the best day of your life. After fiery reception, Fadi came home and told her as he could he had been more than six months without writing because they had moved to the city to work and get the money for airfare and, therefore, letters of She did not arrive. He declined to say anything in his last letter to all be a surprise, and indeed it was.

At last filling the deep hole that he felt in his heart. From now on, everything would be totally and absolutely perfect. We teach the language to Fadi and when they handle, look for work. They would live like a normal couple. He never imagined that finding a daring and dangerous journey, take her to find true love, but it did and now could not be happier.

The love story between Alexander and Fadi shows that, despite the language, customs, religions and many other things, there is something universally known that we all feel in the depths of our hearts and against what we can not fight, and this something is what we call love.

Introduction:
This is our story, the story of me and my girlfriend, full of prejudices, full of fears, full of insecurities and of a certain rebellious spirit too.
By the way, I'm Carolina, my girlfriend is Abda, and his brother is Ali.
This is a story that proves that love is love. No matter what the country is, skin color or gender. Because love always remains.
This was the year I entered the 4th course os secondary school, the first day.
While we were waiting to enter the class, I noticed a dark-haired girl wearing a headscarf. She had also noticed me, and there we stayed for two long seconds until she smiled at me. That girl, Abda, was a Muslim who had come from Morocco just a year ago.
All those people who are different from what society dictates will be marginalized, I know this is not written in any statute or anything like that, but it is a universal law, that is, it's always true. However, I had very deep ethics and values , and I was not going to let anyone trample it, so when they started to mess with her I was there, holding out his hand, I would not leave her, no one else appart from me had stopped to think for all that it had happened in that moment, being new to this country with a pretty big culture shock, coming in a boat from Morocco because there she hadn't anything to eat and meeting to a society in which the prevailing law is the minimum effort, and "I'm cool because my future is more settled than yours, because it just cost me to get where I am." How could feel four stupid brats superior to her, who was here, speaking Spanish just after a year living in Spain, studying as she could in the morning and helping their parents shop in the afternoon? And no one else thought of it. Why are we in a society so stupid, egocentric and superficial? Why we pick on her due to the way she dresses and speaks? Why she simply believed in Islam and the boys teased her and treated her like a servant? She was sure she was worth more than that, much more indeed, so I defended her, from everybody and started being friends, at first she was very quiet, but because of my character I usually talk up to the curtains, so she soon opened to me, and soon we knew each other. And from that moment, at all times, we respected each other.
She was beautiful to me, was so innocent, so small, so delicate but strong, and so mature at the same time, that I was totally enthralled, she fascinated me with her laughter. Her happiness produced an endless thousand smiles from me. What I did not know was that she saw me in the same way, I did not realize the damage and confusion she felt being a slave of her culture until later. During the time he was without me, I saw her dull and lifeless, but the more I tried to approach her, the more she avoided me.
So, tired of waiting I got angry and went on my own for a time, or at least I tried, but I knew I was addicted to her smile, and I could not live without her, there were some missing pieces of me.
One day as I left the toilet, she entered, her tears continued its downward journey as two mighty rivers that run through a valley succumbing to gravity, and she began to explain the reason for her strange distance to me.
During those five minutes I felt, confusion, joy, excitement, sadness and determination, all at once. The whole thing was fascinating, she was saying to me that she loved me and it was something I wanted to hear almost since the day we first met. At that moment I knew I could not let her escape, I could not let our love stop, no matter how difficult it was, she had to be with me and vice versa, fight and vanquish the gravity before letting her go. She loved me as much as I loved her!, the emotion of the moment was so great that I did not control myself and stamped him a kiss on the mouth, at first she tried to withdraw but in two seconds she surrendered and let it go. I knew she could never bear her suffering added to mine because I'm not as strong as she. I also knew I had to do something for us to be together and I was aware of the difficulties, it was like fighting a tidal wave. However, I knew that there should be an alternative. And as I said before, I could never bear their suffering in addition to mine, if only my own, perhaps, but hers was heavier, so I had no choice, I promised I would solve it.
She had an older brother named Ali. I knew a long time before that he liked me I, had caught each and every one of his hints, he was a nice guy despite all the prejudices that tend to be about Moroccan boys. He was very quiet, and quite intelligent, apart from a nerd, and he defended his sister with me when those boys started to mess with her, whenever she was sad too, he was very kind, but not my type, yet I returned him his own indirects and started going out together, I knew it was the only way to be with her, otherwise his family would end up realizing, and that she didn't want to be rejected by them, nor bear to be just my friend, and of course I would endure it less. So, her brother and I started dating, but we did not know at that time that the most difficult part would arrive, the parents of Ali and Abda accepted me, but mine did not accept Ali, when I told them all their prejudices came to light, that he would be an intolerant male, that he would be irresponsible, that I would end up having four children and no college education, that I did not deserve to be treated as one of the women who end up unable to go to the street alone because they are repressed, that I could not have a liberal mind, that if his sister had told me that I was crazy is that she was a true friend,..., etc . During all the talk I had been stopping my tongue I thought it was time to start speaking , and I screamed in their face the truth that I had not yet dared to say, and I told them that they could not be tolerant, that they did not know him, that nobody could bully me, that I was already old enough to make my decisions and that they would have to understand me, I told them how hypocrites they were saying that we should respect everyone, if they didn't let me out with a Muslim simply because he was Muslim. That same night I was punished because I left the kitchen without sweeping and it was my turn, when I had never been punished for something. they soon began to put on me unjust punishments that I had never received before. My boyfriend told his parents, but none of us waited for a reply.
The next day my house was full of graffiti on the outside, all of them with the same phrase: "Hustler Spanish racists." When I got home from school panic flooded my face, leaving a white face like ivory. My parents were on the verge telephoning the police in my house when the doorbell rang, it was Ali who wanted to talk to them and me, he fell on his knees in front of me crying, and said he was sorry but he wasn't involved in the graffiti affair and he was ashamed of what his family had made, and he understood perfectly well that I wanted to leave him. But at that moment I felt terribly guilty, I was using him and he was suffering for me, my values had been upset, I just thought in Abda and me, and in no moment I thought about her, at no time I put myself in their place, but I still could not live without Abda, it was a struggle for my own survival, and surviving at times is selfish. After that I ducked and I hugged him, and my parents, misreading my expression finally accepted him, they wanted me to be happy.
I started my crazy story of adolescent love in secret with Abda and still a few years, hiding from her family and my boyfriend, until we finished high school and I married to Ali, we had three soon after we moved to France to study at university . Ali and I were like brothers, but nothing else, after all this time he knew even the tiniest detail of my personality, like Abda.
A week after we got there he talked with me, knew that her sister and I were in love, he had been suspecting since we started dating, but I hoped that someday he could take his sister's place. His suspicions were not confirmed until he heard one of our discussions, prior to our wedding. Despite that, he loved to Abda and loved me, and he also wanted us to be happy with each other, he knew I loved Abda, and that the only way he had of being with her was through him. He also knew I would never be happy with him, I was fond of him, but only as a brother, so he decided to move to another house, and let us live our lives, although officially I was married to him, and also to the eyes of family.
Despite his unexpected move we were still in contact and we were in college. He became my brother in law and our best friend, but always I looked at his sad eyes, I felt a lump in the throat.
How could I become so insensitive and made him suffer so much?
I did not know, but I was sure I would have to carry that guilt all my life. It was the price of my survival.

UN CAMINO DIFICIL. PETAR STEFANOV ATANASOV 1º BCS

-¡Ahora vas a ver!. ¡Te voy a despedazar!. ¡Vas a morir bicho raro, asqueroso!

The boy left the house with his school mates to play football in their favourite pitch, which was just outside the village. In that place they used to play since they were children. The pitch was not very big: it was simple and it was always empty.
When they arrived, the place was not alone, there were a group of black kids playing there, so they stood there, guessing what to do.
One of the boys thought they could tell their parents so that they threw the black boys out: but none of the parents took their children seriously. Another boy thought they could fight them in order to teach them a lesson: but when they came near them, they realized that the black boys were stronger and taller than them. Since no other solution was possible, they left for another place to play, but this was not the same as the other. Finally, they resigned.
Hours, days and weeks passed; it passed spent such a long time that they decided to take a game against blacks to decide who was going to stay with the pitch. The match finished with the victory of the group of black boys and sad and heartbroken, the kids asked for a revenge game. However, it didn't work much because they won again.
This was repeated for weeks and in the end, the kids realized that they enjoyed playing with them, and they forgot about the prejudices and became friends.

Pasaron unas cuantas semanas y Carmen siguió buscando alguna buena mujer.

AISHA´S HISTORY
"I love you."
She would like to scream but she just simply smiled and looked at his son.
These were the last words Aicha heard from her mouth when she was only 3 years before leaving to Spain.
Aicha is Muslim, she is almost 31 years old, and has been a dreamer all his life. There are moments when everything seems possible and she believes that everything can change, but there is no turning back. She has come to Spain with little in his suitcase and with a single objective: to look for a better future for her child. She has many fears and concerns, and feels there is one thing above all others, and this is the longing for his country. She also faces many new situations and problems.
The first difficulty she faces is the language, she learns Spanish as quickly as possible to cope with life and especially to get a job. Meanwhile, staying with an old family friend who has been for 20 years in Malaga, although originally she only came for a couple of years. This friend is of great help to Aicha, she offers her guidance and tells her where to look for advice, as she would have liked to be helped.
Shortly thereafter, the language ceases to be a problem, now she faces exclusively to the prejudices of the people around her. Being undocumented, despite being an educated woman, she soon realizes that you only can access to jobs that do not require qualifications, they do not contract her and they do not pay him his due wage. She knows it should not be so, but for her is the same, she has come to work and does not mind working on everything that is provided in order to send money to his beloved son. Every moment she wonders if she did well leaving him at home with her mother. She knows that she is very old and does not know how long she will be able to continue taking care of him.
A few days later Aisha is put into contact with a person on the phone. This is an older woman who needs a little help for the tasks of daily life, but above all, she needs company. Looking for an insider, who can become like a relative, and can feel that this is also her home and can be trusted.
The phone conversation is great, they seem to have connected and meet to finalize details, but Carmen could not help it, but when she sees Aicha arriving for the first time with her Muslim headscarf, she becomes disappointed.
Carmen is a Catholic lady and respects any other religion, but ... she would never plan to introduce in her home a muslim girl . Deep inside she distrusts of the customs they may have. However, she does the interview, she tells all her situation, but Aicha notices that something is wrong. Carmen decides to call her in the future if she decides to stay with her, but she is thinking in looking again and she willtake into account even from the beginning that she does not want a foreign woman for the job.
Aicha is pleased with Carmen, she realizes how lonely she is and wishes she could keep her company and, of course, she needs the work and money. Moreover, as a domestic housekeeper, she could stop bothering her friend and could send more money to her child. But Aisha already had a hunch that Carmen would not call her for the job.
After a few weeks Carmen went on looking for a good woman. Shee met with several girls but none was willing to fulfill all the conditions that Carmen indicated. Aicha remembered and regretted that she had been a Muslim, she was a good woman and was really ready to fulfill all the requirements of Carmen, but she felt like having to live with someone who prays to a different God, someone who goes spends days without eating ... she didn't know well how that religion was, but did she need to know that?
Aicha, in the meanwhile, was still looking for work, without any success. She realized that her scarf was a problem, but could not renounce to her beliefs. She did not understand that the practice of her religion could interfere in her work, didn't they follow their own different religion? Why they don't tolerate mine?
Despite all, to Aisha, Carmen seems a good woman and she often wonders how she will feel. One afternoon, without thinking too much, decided to visit him. When she got there, she knocked there at the door several times and nobody answered the bell. A neighbour walking by told her that Carmen had suffered a serious stroke and was in hospital.
She quickly decided to go to the hospital to see how she was. When she arrived there, Carmen was crying, she had been for two days in hospital and nobody had come to visit her. When she saw Aisha, Carmen's face brightened. It was then that she realized that Aisha was not really so different from her although they practiced different religions. She had felt a kind of connection and understood that Aisha could take care of her better than anyone from now onwards. Since then, she decided to look through different eyes to Aisha, and simply value what she felt in his heart.

Daichi's story

Daichi was a South African person. Due to the serious problems of his country, he had no choice but to emigrate to Spain. He had no money for a trip, so he decided to board on a small boat with people who had the same problem and he head off to a promising new life. He left his family promising to send them money and telling them that when things were better, he would be back, and so he began a hard trip.
The trip was one of the worst moments of his life, due to hunger and misery. In addition to this, he had to witness the death and loss of many comrades. He and a few others were lucky to arrive alive with only three items of clothing. Upon arrival he took leave of his companions and found a hostel to sleep. The next day he walked around the entire city looking for a job.
He was lucky to find one as a builder. Daichi accepted it with great enthusiasm, but a slight mishap happened that took his joy at once: on the payrollit was only included half the wage of other workers. He asked his boss why his salary was so small and this led him into a corner and said to him quietly:
- You do not deserve the same money as a Spanish worker "black shit."
Daichi was not going to allow that humiliating situation after all he had had to suffer to arrive there. Thus he came into contact with the International Workers Association to remedy it. Within days, a leader of the association contacted him and remedied the issue. Daichi's chief, was suspended from the office and in his place another came who was aware of the case and gave Daichi a right wage. From that moment, he could start a new life.
